Water Lettuce is an aquatic plant with soft leaves that form a rosette. it controls algae problems as It floats on the surface of the water, its roots hanging submersed beneath floating leaves sucking up the extra nutrients which are the cause of an algae bloom. these roots play a big role in filtering the water and removing fish waste from the water, the leaves can be up to 14 cm long and have no stem. They are light green, with parallel veins, wavy margins and are covered in short hairs that form basket-like structures that trap air bubbles.
